10/12 Workshop: Marketing Essentials for Yoga Teachers

Yoga teachers are community-builders, translators, educators, and storytellers at heart. You connect people to yoga, to each other, and to themselves. Communicating and connecting is also what good marketing is all about, so chances are you’ll be stellar at that, too.

As an independent contractor you are supposed to market your own classes and other offerings. This compact workshop will clarify how to do that in an authentic and effective way, without depleting your resources (time, energy, attention, and money). We will identify the essential pieces you need to have in place, share resources for creating them on a budget, and explore how to develop a marketing strategy and style that suits your skill set, your personality, and your daily life.

Here are the coordinates:

Saturday, October 12, 2:30-4:30 pm
at Yoga Bhoga (Southeast Water Avenue)
Cost: $10 at the door
No RSVP, just show up.

If you have any questions or suggestions you’d like me to cover at the workshop, leave a comment or email me at andrea@lightboxpdx.net!

p.s.: Here’s another yoga-related post about my experience taking a class in Icelandic.

Join me for a free webinar on word-of-mouth?

Word-of-mouth. Need I say more? So, join me next Thursday, August 8, at 12:00 noon PDT for a compact, focused and free webinar on the topic. We’ll cover what word-of-mouth is and isn’t, why it is so powerful, and – most importantly – how you can catalyze more of it for your business. I am planning on just 30 minutes so you can fix yourself a snack, hang out with me, and still get a short walk in before your lunch break is over.

RSVP here, and then I’ll check in with you a day or two before the webinar.
