Events and Resources for April 2013

Just a quick post to let you know about a few good events and other happenings to meet people this spring, all sleaze-free and introvert-approved:

Yogic Lore Flow with Kimi Marin
Saturday, April 13, at 11:00 pm (yes, almost midnight), at Shakti House
Kimi will me teaching this class as part of a 24-hour fundraising event. Get the details and sign up on her website. And while you there, browse her latest writings!

Free Lightbox Micro-Workshop on Inspiring Word of Mouth
Wednesday, April 17, 6:00-8:00 pm
Here’s my anniversary offering: a free short and sweet workshop on how to inspire more word of mouth, a marketing clinic, and the chance to mingle with some of the other rad people who are part of the Lightbox universe. Email me to get on the invitation list!

DIY Health Fair at the Wellspring School for Healing Arts
Friday, April 19, 6:00-8:00 pm
Organized by the soon-to-be graduates of the Wellspring School’s Wholistic Nutrition program, this event promises demos, snacks, samples, and simplicity. No need to RSVP, just stop by.

Southeast Grind’s Fourth Birthday Party
Saturday, April 20, from 12:00 noon
Portland’s only 24-hour coffee shop, workplace away from your kitchen table, and provider of freshly juiced greens is turning four. Check out their website for directions.

Young Women Social Entrepreneurs Book Club
Sunday, April 28, 6:00 pm
If we ever met in person, I probably told you about the local chapter of YWSE. Join them to talk about Sheryl Sandberg’s new book Lean In. You can find all the details in the Events section of their Facebook group. (All four words that make up this group’s name are open for interpretation: you may identify yourself as young at any age, social doesn’t have to mean saving the whales, you might be an entrepreneurial spirit within an organization, and yes, guys are welcome, too.)
